Greeting and Introduction ~
In this class, students will learn how to properly shake hands, make good eye contact, introduce themselves, and use their voice correctly. They will go through several exercises strengthening these skills building confidence as they go.
Conversation Skills ~
This class focuses on how to initiate a conversation with both new people and those they know already in a casual or formal setting. Whether they are across the cafeteria table or at a elegant banquet, they will be given the tools to converse. Beneficial exercises are also used to build confidence in their conversations. The are taught how to present questions and the significance of listening respectfully.
Dining Experience/ Dining Etiquette ~
Participants learn the correct placement of utensils, plates, glasses and napkin. Students will be able to set a table, and also learn what each utensil is for in casual and formal settings. They will be taught: how to indicate with their utensils to the wait staff that they are done, how a gentleman gets a lady's chair, how to eat bread politely, where to place the napkin when they are done, etc. Most importantly, they are taught how to be respectful to others at the table.
Advanced Communication Skills ~
This class dives into the four Personality Types and how to not only appreciate them but also how to communicate to them in a way that brings out their best. It is helpful for all grade levels. The D,I,S,C or as they are referred to in class the: Power, Playful, Peaceful and Precise personalities each have wonderful strengths and in the class we honor them. An extremely beneficial class for developing respect. How we need each others strengths and how we can grow from one another is taught. The information is very effective in taking conversations to the next level. This class is also recommended as a family bonding activity.
First Impressions~
You don't get a second chance to make a first impression. The class covers posture, how to sit properly, eye contact, smiling, walking with confidence and dressing appropriately. Young men are taught how to tie a tie and how to match outfits. Young ladies are taught how to dress lady-like in any situation.
Common Courtesies
This class teaches how to express respect through actions, body language and words. It brings much needed attention to valuing others more than the need to be entertained by digital devices.
Students will receive a beautiful Certificate of Completion
